In My Mailbox (1): Books I Bought This Week

In My Mailbox: What is it?
In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren. It's an opportunity to share the books we've bought or received in the last week!

This is my first week participating in IMM, and I feel like I should be embarrassed. I need to stop buying books. Seriously.

I wish I could saw some of these were galleys or freebies, but I really can't. Everything except for Matched, which I borrowed from a friend, I actually bought with real monies this week. I can say that I a few of these books only cost a few dollars--I bought some on sale. That makes me feel better :D

But you know what's worse? This isn't everything. I ordered The Scorpio Races, Lord Of The Abyss, Shatter Me, and A Touch of Power this week also, and I'm waiting for them to arrive. That'd be on top of the five Kate Daniels books I ordered last week. Who needs lunch money when you've got books, right?

From top to bottom:
  1. Warm Bodies (Isaac Marion)
  2. Beautiful Chaos (Garcia/Stohl)
  3. Cryer's Cross (Lisa McMann)
  4. Matched (Ally Condie)
  5. Paranormalcy (Kiersten White)
  6. Midnight Alley (Morganville Vampires #3) (Rachel Caine)
  7. Glass Houses (Morganville Vampires #1) (Rachel Caine)
  8. Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires #5) (Chloe Neill)
  9. The Replacement (Brenna Yovanoff)
Umm... Folks, my name is Sarah, and I have a problem...

What'd you bag this week? Share!

  1. That is quite a lovely book haul. I'm jealous! I just started Beautiful Chaos last night. So much love!

  2. This seriously doesn't happen often. I've bought as many books in the last 2 weeks that I normally do in a year, so I'm now on a self-imposed book buying ban... except for maybe 1 or 2 or 3...

Hehe, some girls buy shoes... I'd rather go barefoot if I can have more book ;)

  3. I can easily buy just as many books for myself in a week, somtimes I just see everything I have been wanting to read all at once! I hope you enjoy them.

    Check out my IMM here.

  4. All books I'm curious about! Really liked Paranormalcy, which is the one I've read. Hope you do too! :)

You shouldn't be ashamed, I've been worse! I'm just good now because I don't have any book-money to spare... lol.

    My IMM!

  5. Great set! I loved Paranormalcy, Matched, and Beautiful Chaos. I need to get caught up on Chicagoland Vamps.

  6. LOL I know what you mean! Buying books is like a curse sometimes -- and it definitely eats up our wallets! x) But you shouldn't be embarrassed because those are some AWESOME books! And I love Matched, so I'm glad you borrowed that one from your friend too!

Awesome mailbox, Sarah! I hope you love all of your books! :)

  7. @Mimi--I'm really excited for Matched! I just read you review, and it has me really excited. PLUS, the cover is SO pretty!

    Thanks Shellie!
I swear, I reached bookvana this week :D

  8. LOL. I think we can all relate to your "problem". ;) That's a great stack of books!

  9. I haven't read Paranormalcy. I don't know why but I think I need to read that since the third book is out soon...

As for your problem. I am struggling the same way. I have this vow that I'd only purchase 1 book a week just to keep myself... sane? I hope that makes you feel better. LOL.

    Great haul! Happy reading.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. ^_^

  10. I know I'm late (really late, in fact) but wow you got some awesome books! I can't say I've read any of them - alas, my to-read list just gets longer and longer! - but they definitely sound interesting. Oh, and you're not the only one with book-buying problems ;)

  11. Hehe, thanks Hannah! I just commented on someone's TGIF from LAST WEEK, so seriously, you're well on time XD

My TBR list has swollen to an embarrassing size this week. Thanks for stopping by!

  12. Lol - you got quite a stack!! I've read Warm Bodies and Paranormalcy and they're both awesome.

  13. @Tanya: Hehe, I went shopping at Basement Books in Sydney (AU). It's like... a book disposal place? We had 2 MAJOR book chains close down in AU this year, so they had stacks and stacks of books. I felt like I was being rather restrained, personally :P

Paranormalcy is top of my list--super excited :D

  14. Do you mind if I copy how you do your IMM posts? Mine always look so disorganised and disgusting but yours look AMAZINGGG! <3
I just bought Matched for this week's IMM and I've been tossing up as to whether I should get The Replacement or not!!
I know what you mean though, I try not to buy books but it just doesn't happen.... :S

  15. Hiya Taneika! Go for it! I'm flattered--I didn't know I was doing anything special :)

I ended up getting The Replacement from Basement Books so it was REALLY cheap!
