I really miss the gorgeous eyes this cover model has.
They were AMAZING on A Touch of Frost

Kiss Of Frost (Mythos Academy, #2)
by Jennifer Estep
Pre-Order:  Book Depository  |  Amazon
Pub Date:  Nov 29, 2011

From Goodreads:
I’m Gwen Frost, a second-year warrior-in-training at Mythos Academy, and I have no idea how I’m going to survive the rest of the semester. One day, I’m getting schooled in swordplay by the guy who broke my heart—the drop-dead gorgeous Logan who slays me every time. Then, an invisible archer in the Library of Antiquities decides to use me for target practice. And now, I find out that someone at the academy is really a Reaper bad guy who wants me dead. I’m afraid if I don’t learn how to live by the sword—with Logan’s help—I just might die by the sword...

I'm really looking forward to Kiss of Frost by Jennifer Estep. I was pleasantly surprised by A Touch of Frost, as I had a few gripes with Estep's Elemental Assassin series, despite really enjoying the storyline. I'm itching to find out what Logan Quinn is hiding, and where Estep takes this relationship. Squee!

So tell me: what are you waiting on this week?

  1. ooohhh a kick butt heroine. i'll sure check this out.

  2. Great pick! I haven't read the first book, but they sound great. Thanks for sharing!

  3. @Braine: I read your review on Immortals! If you like mythology themed stories, you totally should! I should warn, though: it (intentionally) mixes up pantheons. There's Greek and Norse, and probably a bit of everything in between!

@Andrea: I didn't expect to like the first book so much, actually! They're fun. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Oh My Dear! I haven read these ones yet sniff!!! Im so far behind!! The worst is...that I know that not even in my lifetime I will be able to read all the books I want to read sniff! I'll go to my tomb with an entire super huge shelf (probably the size of a whole huge library) what I would not have read because of time! I need to become a vampire. Seriously!

    great pick my dear! muah!

  5. @Natalia: Oh my goodness, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I swear I couldn't read in one year just the books released that year that I want to. What about all the books published before I was born? I'll never catch up! It haunts me.

Seriously, you figure out the vampirism thing, you let me know! :D

  6. I haven't read any Jennifer Estep yet, I am slowly getting around to the authors I want to devour.

Hee..hee... @ Natalia Belikova, I totally understand, Í'm older so I have shorter time left to devour books, trust me it's crossed my mind. I need immortality just to be able to read all my books. I have a botu 10 years worth at least on my TBR's not looking promising...sigh

  7. @Michelle, If you're going to read Estep, I'd actually suggest reading A Touch Of Frost over her Elemental Assassin series. I like the story in the EA books, but she repeats herself a lot and it drove me NUTS. I really like ATOF. Man oh man, I'd love to just take a couple of years off work and do nothing but reeeaddd... I'll live in the library :D

  8. Great pick. I want to read this series. It sounds really good. =] I am a new follower. =]
    Here is My WoW

  9. This book is on my TBR too! I finished Touch of Frost, and though it didn't made up to my top fave books, I'm still and definitely be reading Kiss of Frost... =)

  10. I really want to start this series I have book 1 on my reader. Great pick!

    Xpresso Reads

  11. This one's been on my radar for a while now. I'm still debating on whether or not to read it though. I'm trying to read less YA... but great pick!

    My WOW

  12. I like the cover! It is so pretty. The book sounds good. Great choice! Thank you for sharing!

    Books For All Seasons

  13. @Books4Juliet: it didn't make my top books, either, but I still really enjoyed it. Fingers cross this one's good, too!

@Giselle: I had A Touch Of Frost sitting on my reader for months before I read it. I decided to give it a go, and couldn't stop :D

@Carmel: The first book was fun. It's certainly not the best-ever book I've read, but it was entertaining, and made me happy :)

@Samual: the covers are really cool. I actually think most os Estep's are--she's done good for herself :D

  14. I just got this one in my mailbox, and I'm interested to see where the story goes! I wasn't the biggest fan of Touch of Frost, but hopefully the sequel will be a more interesting. :)

  15. @Lauren: I hope you enjoy it! Look forward to your review :)
